Celebrate Mexican Independence Day with two of the most delicious things to come out of Mexico: MEZCAL & CHOCOLATE! We will be pairing 5 different expressions of Mexico's most coveted agave spirit alongside 5 different handmade chocolates. In the process, we will learn about the history, cultural significance and production of mezcal as well as explore various aspects of making chocolate. The pairings will highlight the unique aspects of each, but will also show how mezcal & chocolate can become more than just the sum of their parts when enjoyed together.
Guests will enjoy 5 specialty truffles from Roni-Sue's each paired with their own agave spirit, plus a welcome beverage. Leading the tasting is agave expert Tess Rose Lampert who has traveled the hills of Mexico's agave growing regions to discover the best spirits and learn about their production.
